Cleo looking comfy and bundled
I had high hopes for this week…hoping I wouldn’t be at work as late in the evenings; hoping we were able to get some chores done in the evenings and hoping we might actually have a chance to be social during the week. But, alas, this is not the case…and it is ONLY Tuesday! Here is how our week really started…
Sunday night, we had some friends over to watch the Vikings game…we all know how that ended. The vikings were cheated with some bad calls and in sudden death overtime…they’re chance at a Superbowl win was ruined! So we tidied up and went to bed at the reasonable hour of 10:30 pm. I awoke at what I thought was about 5:30 in the morning…to the sounds of Woody horribly and violently ill in the bathroom. It was actually 1:14 am. This continued for the rest of the night/early morning. First, I worried that perhaps something I had served was either off, bad, or full of unspeakable bacteria and that we had a possible case or cases of food poisoning on my hands. Turns out that not only did Woody spend most of the night on the bathroom floor…so did at least 5 of our friends or friend’s babies. A nasty stomach bug had spread to everyone while we were actually enjoying the weekend at birthday party.

How big is Rhea...? Sooooo Big!
Woody is on the mend today and was back at work…but with the wrench thrown into our Monday morning…it was a hell of a way to start the week. I took Cleo to dog daycare for the day so Woody could rest and Cleo could get all tuckered out…which meant that I would have to leave work by 6:45 in order to pick her up. This may not seem like a bonus…but since I’ve been working an obscene amount of hours…this was a good night.
I also have to admit that in the Fischer house…it is still technically Christmas. I hate to admit this…the tree is still up. So we’re working on things. Feeling healthy, working a little less, cooking a few more nights a week than we have been, taking Cleo on longer walks, and not falling behind on things around the house. I guess I still have high hopes…they were just pushed back a few days.
